The value of purchased livestock significantly higher year-on-year
The prices of agricultural products were on average almost a tenth higher than last July. The value of purchased agricultural products increased almost by a quarter year-on-year.
Animals and animal products more expensive than last July
Compared to July last year, producer prices of agricultural products increased on average by 9.9%.
Animals and animal products were 14.3% more expensive. The prices of animals for slaughter were higher by 16.2%. Cattle prices were significantly higher (by 29.2%), while poultry prices grew slightly (by 3.3%). Pig prices were lower than the year before. The prices of animal products increased by 12.3%. The increase was due to the 15.9% higher milk price, which was EUR 0.51 per litre in July.
The prices of crop products were higher by 4.0%. Cereals prices rose by 5.2%, of that wheat prices by 5.8%. Also higher were the prices of wine, fruit, industrial plants and vegetables. On the other hand, potato prices decreased by 10.1%.

The total value of purchased agricultural products increased by 23.9%.
In the group livestock breeding, the value of purchase rose by almost a quarter. The value of purchased livestock went up the most (by a half). In comparison with the previous year, a larger quantity of animals was purchased and the prices were higher. The value of purchased milk increased by a fifth and of poultry by 5.3%.
In the group arable farming, the purchase value was higher by 26.3%. The value of purchased cereals increased by 39.5%. The value increased due to higher cereal prices as well as a larger quantity of purchased products. The values of purchased potato and vegetables were lower than the year before.
In the group fruit and wine growing, the value of purchase increased by 12.9%. The value of purchased fruit was up by a quarter. In comparison with the previous year, the value of purchased apples was significantly higher.
