A tenth more ships in Slovenian ports
In July 2025, 12% more new passenger cars were registered for the first time than the year before. At road border crossings there were fewer passenger vehicles, and in Slovenian ports a tenth more ships.
More new passenger car registrations
This July, about 12,500 road motor vehicles were registered for the first time in Slovenia or 4% more than in the previous July. Of these, 8,600 passenger cars were registered for the first time, also 4% more. Almost 5,100 were first registrations of new passenger cars or 12% more.
Fewer passenger vehicles on the Drenov Grič counter section
Among selected counters on motorways, the section with the Drenov Grič counter was the busiest with passenger traffic this July. It counted more than 2 million passenger vehicles or 3% fewer than in the same month the year before. The largest number of goods vehicles was recorded by the Ravbarkomanda counter near Postojna, which counted 0.7 million goods vehicles or 2% more.
More goods vehicles at road border crossings
In total, 9.1 million passenger vehicles entered or exited Slovenia via road border crossings, 1% fewer than in July last year. There were 2 million goods vehicles or 2% more.
More passengers at the airport
Almost 181,600 passengers departed from or arrived at Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, which was 12% more than last July. 1,100 tonnes of goods were also handled, i.e. 7% more than in the same month of last year.
Substantially more passenger traffic in ports
In total, 377 ships arrived at or departed from Slovenian ports, a tenth more than in July last year. Of these, 36 were cruise ships, which was 6% more than the previous year. 33,299 passengers arrived or departed through Slovenian ports, which was over 50% more than in July last year. 1.7 million tonnes of goods were handled in the port of Koper, which was 17% less than July last year.

Data on urban and interurban public scheduled road passenger transport will be published in the SiStat Database as soon as they are available.
