Agricultural input prices higher in July
Agricultural input prices increased at the monthly and at the annual level. At the monthly level, prices in the group energy and lubricants went up the most and at the annual level prices of fertilizers.
Prices higher at the monthly level …
Agricultural inputs were on average 0.4% more expensive than in the previous month. The prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture (input 1) went up by 0.5%, while the prices of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment (input 2) remained at the level of the previous month.
In the first group (input 1), price increases were recorded at energy and lubricants (by 2.8%) and at maintenance of materials (by 0.1%). A slight price decrease was recorded in the group maintenance of buildings (by 0.3%).
In the second group (input 2), both the prices of materials and of buildings remained at the level of the previous month.
… and year-on-year
Compared to the same month of the previous year, agricultural inputs were 1.7% more expensive. The prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture went up by 1.8% and the prices of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment by 1.4%.
Year-on-year, in the first group (input 1) the prices of fertilisers increased the most (by 8.7%) and in the second group (input 2) the prices of materials (by 1.6%).
