Agricultural input prices lower again at the monthly level
In May 2025, agricultural input prices decreased again. At both the monthly and annual levels, prices in the group energy and lubricants went down the most.
Prices lower again at the monthly level …
Agricultural inputs were this time on average 0.8% cheaper than in the previous month. The prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture (input 1) went down by 1.1% and of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment (input 2) by 0.1%.
In the first group (input 1), the highest price decreases were again recorded at energy and lubricants (by 4.3%) and at fertilisers (by 1.9%). A slight decrease was also recorded in the group other goods and services (by 0.1%).
In the second group (input 2), the prices of buildings decreased by 0.2%, while the prices of materials remained at the previous month’s level.
… but higher year-on-year
Compared to the same month of the previous year, agricultural inputs were 1.4% more expensive. The prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture went up by 1.4% and of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment by 1.5%.
Among goods and services of the first group (input 1), the prices of fertilisers increased the most (by 9.6%), and among goods and services of the second group (input 2) the prices of materials (by 1.6%).
