More building permits issued and/but fewer dwellings planned
In May, almost a third more building permits were issued than in the previous month: for residential buildings 12% more and for non-residential buildings 55% more.
Over a half more non-residential buildings planned
In May, 558 building permits were issued, 35% more than in the previous month: for residential buildings 215 (12% more) and for non-residential buildings 343 (55% more). For almost all types of non-residential buildings more or the same number of building permits were issued. Fewer permits were issued only for office buildings.
The total floor area of all planned buildings was just over 124,000 m2, i.e. 12% more than in April. The total floor area of planned residential buildings went down by 10% and of non-residential buildings up by 40%.
Fewer dwellings planned
Although more building permits were issued, 40 dwellings fewer were planned than in the previous month. In two- and more dwelling buildings 79 fewer dwellings were planned, while in one-dwelling buildings 37 more dwellings were planned. Two dwellings were planned in non-residential buildings.
The average size of dwellings in one-dwelling buildings will be 170 m2, in two-dwelling buildings 104 m2 and in three- and more dwelling buildings 81 m2.
The largest number of dwellings to be built in the Podravska statistical region
In May, the largest number of dwellings was planned in the Podravska statistical region: 51 or 21% of all. Podravska was followed by Savinjska with 31 dwellings (13% of all), Pomurska with 28 dwellings (12% of all) and Osrednjeslovenska with 27 dwellings (11% of all). The fewest dwellings were planned in Koroška and Zasavska, only one in each.
