Construction costs for new residential buildings lower than in the previous quarter
In the first quarter of 2025, construction costs for new residential buildings in Slovenia were lower than in the previous quarter, but higher than in last year’s first quarter.

In the first quarter of this year, construction costs for new residential buildings were 1.3% lower than in the previous quarter. On the other hand, they were 3.0% higher than in the first quarter of 2024.
… as did labour costs
After the 16.2% increase in the previous quarter, this time labour costs went down. They were 3.3% lower than in the fourth quarter of last year. Compared to the first quarter of last year, however, they increased by 7.1%.
Construction material costs slightly higher
Construction material costs increased. This time they were 0.1% higher than in the previous quarter. Compared to the first quarter of 2024, they went down by 0.8%.
