Agricultural input prices lower at the monthly level
In April 2025, agricultural input prices decreased only at the monthly level. At both the monthly and annual levels, prices in the group energy and lubricants went down the most.
Prices slightly lower at the monthly level …
Agricultural inputs were on average 0.4% cheaper than in the previous month. The prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture (input 1) went down by 0.8%, while the prices of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment (input 2) slightly increased (by 0.3%).
In the first group (input 1), decreases were recorded at energy and lubricants (by 4.0%) and at fertilisers (by 0.1%).
In the second group (input 2), the prices of buildings increased by 0.6% and the prices of materials by 0.2%.
… but higher at the annual level
Compared to the same month of the previous year, agricultural inputs were 2.0% more expensive. The prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture went up by 2.1% and the prices of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment by 1.8%.
Year-on-year, in the first group (input 1) the prices of fertilisers increased the most (by 12.5%) and in the second group (input 2) the prices of buildings (by 2.4%).
