Average earnings at registered natural persons slightly lower at the monthly level
Compared to earnings for January, average gross earnings for February 2025 were lower in nominal terms by 0.5% and in real terms by 0.8%. Compared to February of last year, they were higher in nominal terms by 4.4% and in real terms by 2.8%.

Average gross earnings of persons in paid employment by registered natural persons for February of this year amounted to EUR 1,520.07. They were lower than for the previous month in nominal terms by 0.5% and in real terms by 0.8%. Average net earnings amounted to EUR 1,018.15. Compared to earnings for January, they were lower in nominal terms by 0.1% and in real terms by 0.4%.
In comparison with February 2024, average gross earnings increased on average in nominal terms by 4.4% (in real terms by 2.8%) and net earnings in nominal terms by 5.0% (in real terms by 3.3%).
The highest earnings for employees in human health and social work activities
On average, the highest gross earnings for February were paid to employees in human health and social work activities, amounting to EUR 2,025.61, which is a third (33%) more than the national average. The lowest earnings were received in arts, entertainment and recreation (EUR 1,209.89).
Compared to January, average gross earnings varied by sections of activity. The highest growth was recorded in mining and quarrying (7.1%) and the largest fall in wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (by 2.7%).
