Import price indices, March 2025
Prices of imported products unchanged month-on-month, lower year-on-year
In March, import prices remained unchanged at the monthly level and were 0.6% lower than a year ago. Year-on-year price growth remained highest in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, although at the monthly level the largest price decrease was recorded in this group.

Compared to February, import prices remained unchanged in March. The prices of products supplied from the euro area were lower by 0.1%, while the prices of products imported from the non-euro were higher by 0.1%.
Consumer goods prices increased by 0.5%, capital goods prices by 0.3% and intermediate goods prices by 0.1%, while energy prices decreased by 3.0%.
Only import prices of manufactured products grew, increasing by 0.2%, most substantially in the group of wood and of products of wood and cork, except furniture, articles of straw and plaiting materials (by 1.2%). Prices in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning fell by 8.7%.
Year-on-year, prices in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning still significantly higher
In one year, import prices went down by 0.6%. The prices of products supplied from the euro area went up by 0.1%, while the prices of products imported from the non-euro area went down by 1.4%.
Prices decreased the most in the group coal and lignite (by 9.8%) in the section mining and quarrying. On the other hand, prices were still significantly higher year-on-year in the group electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (by 80.1%).
