More building permits issued, fewer dwellings planned
At the monthly level, 29% more building permits were issued and their floor area was 6% larger. On the other hand, 5% fewer dwellings were planned.
Floor area of planned buildings larger
In March, 560 building permits were issued, which is 29% more than in the previous month: for residential buildings 250 (10% more) and for non-residential buildings 310 (50% more). The total floor area of all planned buildings was 140,284 m2, which is 6% more than in February. The total floor area of planned residential buildings went down by 5% and of non-residential buildings up by 21%.
Fewer dwellings planned
By issuing building permits, in March construction of 382 dwellings was planned, which is 5% fewer than a month before. In one-dwelling buildings 229 or 13% more dwellings were planned, while in two- and more dwelling buildings 153 or 24% fewer dwellings were planned. The average size of dwellings in one-dwelling buildings will be 161 m2 and in two- and more dwelling buildings 79 m2.
Almost a third of dwellings to be built in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region
The largest number of dwellings were planned in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region, 118 or 31% of all. 109 dwellings (29% of all) were planned in Podravska and 27 (7% of all) in Savinjska. In other statistical regions fewer dwellings were planned, the fewest (4) in Primorsko-notranjska.
