Average earnings lower than earnings for January
Compared to earnings for January, average gross earnings for February 2025 were lower in nominal terms by 1.4% and in real terms by 1.7%.

Average gross earnings for February 2025 amounted to EUR 2,430.99. Compared to earnings for January, they were lower in nominal terms by 1.4% and in real terms by 1.7%. Average net earnings amounted to EUR 1,550.03. Compared to earnings for January, they were lower in nominal terms by 1.2% and in real terms by 1.5%.
Compared to earnings for February of the previous year, average earnings were higher – gross earnings in nominal terms by 6.6% (net earnings by 6.7%) and in real terms by 4.9% (net earnings by 5.0%).
Average earnings lower in both the public and private sectors
Compared to earnings for January, average gross earnings decreased in both sectors – in the public sector by 2.2% (in the institutional sector general government they went down by 1.6%) and in the private sector by 0.9%.
The highest in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply
Average gross earnings were the highest in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (EUR 3,630.20), and the lowest in accommodation and food service activities (EUR 1,753.11).
Higher than the national average only in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region
At the level of statistical regions, average gross earnings for February were the highest in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region (only in this region they were higher than the national average, i.e. by 10.2%; they amounted to EUR 2,678.53), and the lowest in the Primorsko-notranjska statistical region (EUR 2,096.45 or 13.8% less than the national average).

When calculating the growth rates of average gross and net earnings compared to earnings for individual periods of 2024, data on average earnings calculated from the REK-O form are used as the basis for the comparison for all comparison periods in 2024.
