Euro was the most frequently used currency in Slovenia's trade in goods with EU non-member countries
Slovenia's trade in goods with EU non-member countries was mostly invoiced in euros, namely the euro represented 92.1% of all invoiced currencies in exports, and 88.4% of all invoiced currencies in imports.

Most of Slovenia's trade in goods with EU non-member countries invoiced in euros
Last year, the most frequently used currency for exports to EU non-member countries was the euro, namely its share was 92.1% of all invoiced currencies. The US dollar followed with 3.6%. Other currencies represented 4.3% of all invoiced currencies.
Compared to exports, the shares of currencies in imports from EU non-member countries were slightly different. The euro was still the predominant currency, with 88.4% of all invoiced currencies. The share of the US dollar was 10.1%. Other currencies followed with a 1.5% share.
The US dollar dominated in the imports of petroleum, petroleum products and related materials, the euro in other products
According to product groups by the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC), the US dollar stands out as the main currency used for the imports of petroleum, petroleum products and related materials from EU non-member countries. Its share in the imports of these products was 87.2% and in the exports less than 0.1%. Exports of petroleum, petroleum products and related materials to EU non-member countries were dominated by the euro, with a 74.5% share.
The euro was also the most used currency in the exports (90.7%) and imports (66.3%) of primary goods excluding petroleum, petroleum products and related materials, and in the exports (92.3%) and imports (92.9%) of industrial goods.
