Both turnover and the value of industrial production up
The value of industrial production and turnover in industry increased in January over the previous month and year-on-year.
Industrial production up monthly and year-on-year
The total value of industrial production was 1.6% higher than in December. In electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning it increased by 3.7% and in manufacturing by 1.4%, while in mining and quarrying it declined by 1.4%.
At the monthly level, the value of industrial production increased in capital goods industries (by 3.4%) and in intermediate goods industries (by 0.2%), but decreased in consumer goods industries (by 0.2%).
Compared to January 2024, the total value of industrial production went up by 3.4%. It was higher in mining and quarrying (by 26.7%), in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (by 11.4%) and in manufacturing (by 2.1%).
Turnover in industry also higher
Total turnover in industry grew at the monthly level by 1.7%. In manufacturing, it went up by 2.2% and in mining and quarrying down by 18.0%.
At the annual level, total turnover in industry went up by 0.9%. It was higher in mining and quarrying as well as in manufacturing.
Value of stocks up year-on-year
The total value of stocks in industrial production was 2.6% higher than a year ago in January, but lower by 1.5% compared to the previous month.

At the annual level, total turnover in industry went up by 0.9%. It was higher in mining and quarrying as well as in manufacturing.
Value of stocks up year-on-year
The total value of stocks in industrial production was 2.6% higher than a year ago in January, but lower by 1.5% compared to the previous month.
