Average net income per capita the highest in municipality Šenčur, the lowest in Kuzma
In 2023, average annual net income per capita was nominally 10.4% and in real terms 2.7% higher than in the previous year. It was higher than the national average in three statistical regions and in 59 municipalities.
Income of the population on average 10% higher than a year earlier
Average annual gross income per capita in Slovenia in 2023 was EUR 17,603 and average annual net income per capita EUR 13,622. The former was 10.1% (EUR 1,613) and the latter 10.4% (EUR 1,279) higher than in the previous year.

The nominal growth of average gross (10.1%) and net (10.4%) income was the highest since 2015. The real growth was about a quarter of the nominal growth: the former 2.5% and the latter 2.7%.
The highest in Osrednjeslovenska and the lowest in Pomurska
Average net income per capita by statistical regions in 2023 was, the same as in 2022, the lowest in the Pomurska statistical region (EUR 11,961 or 12.2% lower than the national average) and the highest in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region (EUR 14,709 or 8.0% higher than the national average). The same as in 2022, it was higher than the national average in three regions: Osrednjeslovenska, Gorenjska and Jugovzhodna Slovenija.
Compared to 2022, average net income per capita increased in all statistical regions, the least in Koroška (by 9.0%) and the most in Zasavska (by 11,4%).

The highest in municipality Šenčur, the lowest still in Kuzma
In 2023, average net income per capita was the highest in municipality Šenčur (EUR 16,778 or 23% higher than the national average) and the lowest for the 9th consecutive year in municipality Kuzma (EUR 9,215 or 32% lower than the national average).
It was higher than the national average in 59 municipalities. In all 212 municipalities it increased nominally over the previous year. In real tearms it decreased slightly in 13 municipalities (Hodoš, Bovec, Črna na Koroškem, Kobilje, SvetaTrojica v Slovenskih goricah, Metlika, Sveta Ana, Radeče, Središče ob Dravi, Osilnica, Ribnica, Kranjska Gora and Mežica).
Average net income per capita was the highest in municipality Šenčur, followed by Trzin, Log - Dragomer, Kranjska Gora, Ankaran, Komenda, Škofljica, Mengeš, Vodice and Žirovnica. Compared to the previous year, Šmarješke Toplice, Ljubljana, Bled, Mežica and Novo mesto dropped out of the top ten municipalities with the highest average income and were replaced by municipalities Šenčur, Komenda, Mengeš, Vodice and Žirovnica. Šenčur displaced Kranjska Gora from the first place.
Average net income per capita was the lowest in municipality Kuzma, followed by Rogašovci, Hodoš, Grad, Osilnica, Apače, Gornji Petrovci, Razkrižje, Cankova and Solčava. The last ten municipalities with the lowest average net income remained the same as in 2022, with a slightly changed order.
