New in the SiStat Database: data on average monthly earnings for December 2024 and for 2024
Final and detailed data on average monthly earnings for December 2024 and for 2024 are now available in the SiStat Database. Additionally, data on average monthly earnings in enterprises employing persons with disabilities for 2024 have been published.

Data on average earnings for December 2024 and for 2024, issued as provisional in the release Earnings of persons in paid employment by legal persons, December 2024 on 17 February 2025, are now available as final and at a more detailed level in the SiStat Database.
Average monthly gross earnings last year the highest in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply and in financial and insurance activities
Average monthly gross earnings for 2024 were the highest in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (EUR 3,471.44), followed by financial and insurance activities (EUR 3,462.27). They were the lowest in accommodation and food service activities (EUR 1,756.51).
Average monthly gross earnings in enterprises employing persons with disabilities higher than the year before
Average monthly gross earnings in enterprises employing persons with disabilities for 2024 amounted to EUR 1,916.25. Compared to earnings for 2023, they were higher in nominal terms by 6.9% and in real terms by 4.8%. Net earnings amounted to EUR 1,256.17.
Compared to average monthly earnings of persons employed by all legal persons in Slovenia for 2024 (which amounted to EUR 2,394.92 gross), they were significantly lower in enterprises employing persons with disabilities – by 20.0% gross and by 17.7% net.

METHODOLOGICAL NOTE
With the data for 2024, we have also switched to using a new administrative data source for calculating data on average monthly earnings of persons employed in enterprises employing persons with disabilities. We started using data from the withholding tax calculation for incomes from which withholding tax and/or social security contributions are calculated (REK-O form). Due to the transition to the new data source, in order to ensure a comparable time series, in the SiStat Database we also published data for 2023 calculated based on this data source. These data are also taken into account − as a basis for comparison − when calculating the indices of average gross and net earnings of persons employed in enterprises employing persons with disabilities for reference periods from 2024 on.
