New in the SiStat Database: Consumer price indices, detailed data, January 2025
Detailed data on the index of consumer prices at the ECOICOP level are available in the SiStat Database for January 2025.
Data presented on 6 February 2025 in the release Consumer price indices, January 2025, are now available at a more detailed level (ECOICOP classification) in the SiStat Database.
From today, data for January on the EU measure of inflation (harmonised index of consumer prices) are available as well in SiStat.

METHODOLOGICAL NOTE
As in the previous years, weights were changed at the beginning of the year. Weights for the consumer price index are now based on the average of expenditure from the 2022 Household Budget Survey recalculated to December 2024 prices. Weights for the harmonised consumer price index for 2025 are based on the national accounts final data for 2023, also recalculated to December 2024 prices.
At the same time, we also updated the list of other goods and services and the outlets where prices are collected.
