Production up in both services and trade
In November, service and trade production grew at the monthly level. The increase was larger in service activities than in trade.
At the monthly level, the highest growth in information and communication
Service and trade production went up by 1.3% over the previous month. In service activities, it increased by 1.4% and in trade by 0.3%.
Among service activities, production increased in information and communication (by 4.0%), accommodation and food service activities (by 2.3%) and professional, scientific and technical activities (by 2.0%). It went down in administrative and support service activities (by 4.5%), transportation and storage (by 1.4%) and real estate activities (by 0.4%).
Accommodation and food service activities for the second time in a row up the most year-on-year
Compared to November 2023, service and trade production grew by 0.8%. In trade it went up by 2.2%, while in service activities it fell by 0.2%.
It went down in four out of six groups of service activities. Declines were recorded in real estate activities (by 3.7%), administrative and support service activities (by 3.6%), information and communication (by 1.5%), and professional, scientific and technical activities (by 1.2%). On the other hand, production increased the most, for the second consecutive month, in accommodation and food service activities, this time by 9.0%. Slight growth was also recorded in transportation and storage (by 0.5%).
In the first eleven months of last year, service and trade production grew by 2.0% over the same period of the previous year: in trade by 2.5% and in service activities by 1.5%. It increased in four out of six groups of service activities, the most in real estate activities (by 4.6%).
