Slight improvement of confidence in February
In February, the confidence indicators slightly improved in all four economic sectors.
In construction higher
The confidence indicator increased by 2 percentage points (p.p.) at the monthly level. Compared to February last year it was 1 p.p. lower and compared to the long-term average 14 p.p. higher.
Growth at the monthly level was mainly due to the overall order books indicator, which improved by 8 p.p., while the employment expectation indicator deteriorated by 3 p.p.
The labour hoarding indicator was lower at the monthly level by 2 p.p., higher at the annual level by 1 p.p. and compared to the long-term average lower by 9 p.p.
In manufacturing slightly higher …
The confidence indicator went up by 1 (p.p.) at the monthly level and by 3 p.p. at the annual level. Compared to the long-term average, it was 6 p.p. lower.
The confidence indicator improved due to the higher expected production indicator (by 3 p.p.), while the overall orders books indicator and the stock of finished productions indicator remained unchanged.
The labour hoarding indicator was higher at the monthly level by 2 p.p., lower at the annual level by 1 p.p. and equal to the long-term average.

Most of the observed indicators deteriorated, except for the demand indicator, which improved by 7 p.p.
The labour hoarding indicator increased by 2 p.p. at the monthly level and by 3 p.p. at the annual level, and was equal to the long-term average.

The confidence indicator increased by 1 p.p. at the monthly level, by 11 p.p. at the annual level and by 9 p.p. compared to the long-term average.
The expected employment and volume of stocks indicators improved substantially (by 33 p.p. and 27 p.p., respectively), while the sales indicator deteriorated (by 24 p.p.).
