In November, natural change of population still negative
Compared to the same month of 2023, the number of live births went down by 4% and the number of deaths by 2%. A natural decrease was recorded: according to provisional data, 407 more people died than were born. On average 46 children were born per day and 59 people died.

In the eleventh month of the previous year, 1,367 children were born in Slovenia, which was 59 or 4% fewer than in November 2023. On average 46 children were born per day (compared to 48 in November 2023).
Fewer number of deaths
In the observed month, 1,774 residents of Slovenia died. This was 40 fewer than in November last year. On average 59 people died each day (one fewer than in November 2023).
What do data for December 2024 indicate?
According to the first estimate, 858 residents of Slovenia died between 1 and 15 December 2024. In the same period of last year, the number was higher (1.019 residents).
