For the third time in a row service and trade production down monthly and up year-on-year
In October, production at the monthly level slightly increased in trade and decreased in services. It went down the most in information and communication.
At the monthly level decline in services and growth in trade
The production went down by 0.4% over the previous month. In trade, it increased by 0.1%, while in service activities it decreased by 1.6%.
Among service activities, production increased the most in accommodation, in food service activities (by 2.4%), followed by administrative and support service activities (by 1.3%). In real estate activities, it remained at the same level, while it went down in information and communication (by 2.7%), in professional, scientific and technical activities (by 1.2%), and in transportation and storage (by 0.2%).
Accommodation and food service activities up the most at the annual level
Compared to last October, service and trade production grew by 1.1%. In trade it went up by 1.8% and in service activities by 0.5%.
It went up in three out of six groups of service activities. Growth was the highest in accommodation and food service activities (by 6.6%), followed by transportation and storage (by 4.0%), and administrative and support service activities (by 3.0%). A decline was recorded in professional, scientific and technical activities (by 4.5%), in real estate activities (by 3.8%), and in information and communication (by 2.5%).
In the first ten months of this year, service and trade production grew by 2.0% over the same period of the previous year: in trade by 2.5% and in service activities by 1.6%. It increased in four out of six groups of service activities, the most in real estate activities (by 5.4%).
The production went down by 0.4% over the previous month. In trade, it increased by 0.1%, while in service activities it decreased by 1.6%.

In real estate activities, it remained at the same level, while it went down in information and communication (by 2.7%), in professional, scientific and technical activities (by 1.2%), and in transportation and storage (by 0.2%).

A decline was recorded in professional, scientific and technical activities (by 4.5%), in real estate activities (by 3.8%), and in information and communication (by 2.5%).
