Average earnings higher than earnings for September
Compared to earnings for September 2024, average gross earnings for October were higher – in nominal terms by 1.9% and in real terms by 2.4%.

Average gross earnings for October 2024 amounted to EUR 2,388.35. Compared to earnings for September, they were higher in nominal terms by 1.9% and in real terms by 2.4%. Average net earnings amounted to EUR 1,514.49. Compared to earnings for September, they were higher in nominal terms by 1.8% and in real terms by 2.3%.
Average gross earnings were also higher than earnings for October of the previous year, in both nominal and real terms by 6.8%.
Earnings higher in both sectors, public and private
Compared to earnings for September, average gross earnings in the public sector increased by 1.6% (in the institutional sector general government they went up by 0.7%) and in the private sector by 2.1%.
The highest in financial and insurance activities and in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply
On average, the highest earnings for October were paid in financial and insurance activities (EUR 3,363.15 gross and EUR 2,048.56 net) and in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (EUR 3,361.73 gross and EUR 2,059.85 net), while they were the lowest in accommodation and food service activities (EUR 1,741.41 gross and EUR 1,140.28 net).
