Service and trade production down monthly, up year-on-year
Service and trade production went down at the monthly, but up at the annual level. Compared to August, it decreased the most in real estate activities.
At the monthly level, decrease in both services and trade
The production went down by 1.1% in total over the previous month. In service activities, it decreased by 1.3% and in trade by 0.5%.
As regards groups of service activities, it declined in four out of six. The largest decrease was recorded in real estate activities (by 4.2%), followed by accommodation and food service activities (by 1.5%), administrative and support service activities (by 1.4%) and transportation and storage (by 0.4%). On the other hand, it increased in information and communication by 1.6% and in professional, scientific and technical activities by 0.6%.
The production went down by 1.1% in total over the previous month. In service activities, it decreased by 1.3% and in trade by 0.5%.

At the annual level, for the fifth time in a row the highest growth in real estate activities
Compared to last September, service and trade production grew by 0.9%. In trade it went up by 3.1% and in service activities down by 0.2%.
It increased in most groups of service activities. Growth was the highest – for the fifth consecutive month – in real estate activities (by 3.5%), followed by information and communication (by 2.5%), accommodation and food service activities (by 2.1%) and transportation and storage (by 0.6%). A decline was recorded in professional, scientific and technical activities (by 3.6%) and in administrative and support service activities (by 0.2%).
In the first nine months of this year, service and trade production grew by 2.1% over the same period of the previous year – in trade by 2.6% and in service activities by 1.7%. It increased in four out of six groups of service activities, the most in real estate activities (by 7.0%).
