In October 2024, the ILO unemployment rate was higher than the month before.
The monthly ILO unemployment rate was at 4.9% in October 2024, by 0.4 of a percentage point higher than in September 2024 and by 1.4 of a percentage point higher than in October 2023.
We estimate that there were 51,000 unemployed persons in the age group 15–74 in October 2024, of whom 56% were men and 44% were women. The unemployment rate among men was 5.0% and among women 4.8%.
