Turnover in retail trade, October 2024
Retail trade turnover higher than in the previous month
In October, volume turnover in retail trade grew at the monthly and declined at the annual level. In trade and repair of motor vehicles, it grew in both comparisons.
Up at the monthly level
Compared to September, volume turnover in retail trade grew by 0.8%. In retail trade with food products, it went up by 1.8%, while in retail trade with non-food products and in retail trade with automotive fuel it went down (by 0.6% and 0.3% respectively).
At the annual level it went down by 0.9%. In retail trade with automotive fuel it decreased by 10.4%, and in retail trade with non-food products by 0.1%, while in retail trade with food products it grew by 2.6%.
In the first ten months of the year, volume turnover declined compared to the same period of last year (by 0.5%). In retail trade with automotive fuel, it went down by 6.7%, while in retail trade with food products and in retail trade with non-food products it went up by 1.8% and 0.7%, respectively.
Turnover from trade and repair of motor vehicles up
Volume turnover from trade and repair of motor vehicles grew at the monthly level by 2.1%. Compared to October 2023, it grew by 9.2%, and in the first ten months of the year, compared to the same period of last year, by 7.6%.
