Average earnings slightly lower than earnings for August
Compared to earnings for August, average gross and net earnings for September were lower in nominal and in real terms by 0.5%.

Average earnings for September 2024 amounted to EUR 2,343.07 gross and EUR 1,487.43 net. Compared to earnings for August, they were 0.5% lower in both nominal and real terms.
Compared to earnings for September of the previous year, average gross earnings were higher – in nominal terms by 6.1% and in real terms by 5.5%.
Earnings lower in both sectors, public and private
Compared to earnings for August, average gross earnings in the public sector decreased by 0.9% (in the institutional sector general government they went down by 0.3%) and in the private sector by 0.2%.
Higher than the national average only in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region
Average gross earnings for September were the highest in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region (only in this region they were higher than the national average, i.e. by 9.9%; they amounted to EUR 2,574.26) and the lowest in the Primorsko-notranjska statistical region (EUR 2,025.46 or 13.6% less than the national average).
The highest in financial and insurance activities
On average, the highest earnings for September were paid in financial and insurance activities (EUR 3,400.20 gross and EUR 2,066.98 net) and the lowest in accommodation and food service activities (EUR 1,735.93 gross and EUR 1,136.59 net).
