Producer prices of agricultural products higher year-on-year
At the annual level, producer prices of agricultural products were on average higher by 3.7%. The value of purchased agricultural products increased by 21.4%.
Producer prices of animal products higher than last September …
Compared to a year ago, producer prices of agricultural products increased on average by 3.7%.
The prices of animals and animal products went up by 3.4%. The prices of animal products increased by 7.4%, the most substantially milk prices (by 9.3%). On the other hand, the prices of animals for slaughter declined by 0.2%.
The prices of crop products increased by 4.0%. Significantly higher were the prices of wine (by 7.8%) and cereals (by 7.0%). Higher were also the prices of fruit, potato and vegetables, while industrial plants were cheaper than last September.

In the third quarter, the prices of agricultural products were higher on average by 1.7% compared to the same period last year.
The prices of animals and animal products went up by 2.0%. The increase was due to higher prices of animal products (by 4.9%). The prices of animals for slaughter were 0.5% lower.
The prices of crop products went up by 1.4%. Wine prices increased by 4.3%, vegetable prices by 2.4% and fruit prices by 1.1%.
The value of purchased cereals much higher
In comparison with last September, the value of purchased agricultural products increased by more than a fifth.
In the group arable farming, the value of purchased products increased by almost a quarter. The value of purchased cereals was significantly higher, mostly of wheat and grain maize. The increase was related to higher quantity and prices of purchased products. Higher were also the values of purchased industrial plants and potato.
On the other hand, the value of purchased products in the group fruit and wine growing decreased by 8.4% year-on-year. The value of purchased grape for industry decreased by almost a third, also lower was the value of purchased alcoholic beverages. The value of purchased fruit was higher by a half due to much higher quantities of purchased apples and pears.
The value of purchased livestock increased by a tenth. As regards purchased poultry, its value went up by 12.7% in comparison with last September, as the purchased quantity was higher. Also higher were the values of purchased milk and livestock.
