Disposable income per capita in Osrednjeslovenska 17% higher than in Pomurska
Disposable income per capita increased in all statistical regions, the most in Zasavska (by 10.4%), followed by Osrednjeslovenska (by 10.3%) and Posavska (by 10.0%).
The highest in Osrednjeslovenska
In 2023, disposable income per capita in the Osrednjeslovenska region amounted to EUR 17,372 and exceeded the national average (EUR 16,615) by 4.6%. The lowest disposable income per capita was recorded in the Pomurska region, EUR 14,792 or 11.0% below the national average. The highest disposable income thus exceeded the lowest by 17.4%.
Disposable income per capita increased in all statistical regions. At the national level, it went up by 8.1%, which is slightly less than last year (10.0%). It increased the least in Podravska (by 4.4%) and the most in Zasavska (by 10.4%), followed by Osrednjeslovenska (by 10.3%) and Posavska (by 10.0%).
Regional differences larger
Disposable income per capita in statistical regions, weighted by the number of residents per region, differed on average by 3.3% from the national average.
Regional disparities increased by 1.0 percentage point at the annual level, which indicates larger differences between regions as regards disposable income.
Share of disposable income in primary income of households below national average in 4 statistical regions
In terms of the share of disposable income in primary household income, Osrednjeslovenska (84.2%), Gorenjska (87.6%), Jugovzhodna Slovenija (88.2%) and Primorsko-notranjska (88.7%) regions were below the national average of 88.8%.
According to this indicator, the regions below the average are typically those where primary income is above the national average. Residents of these regions generate relatively more primary income (income from work and capital), while disposable income decreases relatively in the process of redistribution.
