Construction costs for new residential buildings higher than in the previous quarter
In the second quarter of 2024, construction costs for new residential buildings in Slovenia were higher than in the previous quarter and higher than in the second quarter of last year.

In the second quarter of this year, construction costs for new residential buildings were 2.5% higher than in the previous quarter. They were 4.7% higher than in the second quarter of 2023 and 4.6% higher than in the first half of 2023.
… as did labour costs
Labour costs for constructing new residential buildings were 5.7% higher than in the previous quarter. Compared to the second quarter of 2023, they increased by 13.6%. Compared to the first half of 2023, they increased by the same percent.
Construction material costs slightly lower
Construction material costs decreased again, this time they were 0.1% lower than in the previous quarter. Compared to the second quarter of 2023, they went down by 3.1% and compared to the first half of 2023 by 3.2%.
