Value of purchased roundwood almost the same as a year ago
In July, the total value of roundwood purchased from private owners increased at the monthly level and was almost same as at the annual level.

EUR 3.4 million of roundwood was purchased from private owners in July 2024, which was almost 57% more than a month before (mostly due to higher quantities of purchased roundwood). The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs went up by about 61%, of pulpwood by about 49% and of wood fuel by about 16%. The value of other industrial roundwood was also higher than a month before.
… but almost same as a year ago
Compared to last July, the value of roundwood purchased from private owners was almost the same.
The values of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs and of other industrial roundwood increased (by almost 4% and by 3%, respectively), while the values of wood fuel and pulpwood decreased (by almost 61% and by 7%, respectively).
