Agricultural input prices slightly higher than in the previous month
Agricultural inputs were slightly more expensive at the monthly level, while at the annual level they were still cheaper. In monthly comparison, prices increased in the groups of energy and lubricants, and of veterinary expenses.
Prices slightly up at the monthly level …
Agricultural input prices increased on average by 0.2%. The prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture (input 1) went up by 0.3%, while the prices of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment (input 2) remained on average at the same level as in the previous month.
Price increases were recorded only in the first group (input 1), namely of energy and lubricants by 1.7% (due to higher prices of fuels) and of veterinary expenses by 0.3%.
In the second group (input 2), the prices of materials remained the same as in the previous month, while the prices of buildings slightly decreased (by 0.1%).
… but still lower at the annual level
Compared to last July, agricultural input prices went down by 2.9%. The prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture were 5.5% lower, while the prices of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment went up by 2.9%.
Animal feedingstuffs were cheaper by 15.9% and fertilisers by 14.6%.
