The Statistical Office celebrates its 80th anniversary
The central event on this occasion will be an exhibition of infographics titled Eighty Years of Data, which will be on display on the Krakovski nasip embankment in Ljubljana. On this jubilee, we also issued a publication.
This year marks the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia (SURS). On this occasion, we prepared an exhibition of infographics on the Krakovski nasip embankment in Ljubljana titled Eighty Years of Data, which will be on display from 19 August to 19 September.
Presenting selected statistical data, the exhibition describes the story of Slovenia and the life of its residents. We added some interesting information on SURS, e.g. how SURS’s data factory works.

The publication Eighty Years of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia
On the jubilee, we issued a publication titled Eighty Years of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia (available in Slovene language only), which presents the operation of the office describing its achievements and important milestones since it was established. The publication brings a historical overview of the development of national statistics in Slovenia as well as connections between national statistics and the international environment.
