Average earnings higher than earnings for October
Compared to earnings for October, average gross earnings for November were higher in nominal terms by 9.8% and in real terms by 10.9%.

Average gross earnings for November 2023 amounted to EUR 2,427.10. Compared to earnings for the previous month, they were higher in nominal terms by 9.8% and in real terms by 10.9%. Average net earnings amounted to EUR 1,594.13. Compared to earnings for October, they were higher in nominal terms by 11.1% and in real terms by 12.2%. The substantial increase in average earnings was mainly due to higher extra payments (13th month payments and Christmas bonuses).
Compared to earnings for November of the previous year, they were higher in nominal (gross earnings by 8.1% and net earnings by 7.7%) and in real terms (gross earnings by 3.1% and net earnings by 2.7%).
Earnings higher in both sectors, public and private
Compared to earnings for October, average gross earnings increased in the public sector by 2.5% (in the institutional sector general government, they went down by 1.3%) and in the private sector by 13.8%.
The highest in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply
Average gross earnings were the highest in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (EUR 3,822.97) and the lowest in accommodation and food service activities (EUR 1,703.99).
Compared to earnings for October, average gross earnings increased the most in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (by 21.5%). On the other hand, they decreased the most in education (by 1.9%).
