Minimal decrease in total market production compared to August
In September, the total market production was lower at the annual level and at the level of the first nine months of the year, while change at the monthly level was minimal.
At the monthly level slightly lower
The total market production decreased by 0.1% compared to August. This was influenced by the decline in service activities (by 1.3%) as well as in wholesale and retail trade (by 0.5%).
Also down at the annual level …
Compared to the previous September, the total market production decreased by 1.2%. It decreased the most in construction (by 17.6%) but increased in wholesale and retail trade (by 3.1%).
… and at the level of the first three quarters
Compared to the period between January and September last year, the total market production went down by 0.6%. At this level, a decline was recorded in construction (by 10.4%), while in wholesale and retail trade and in service activities production went up (by 2.6% and 1.7%, respectively).
