Total market production in the first half of this year lower than the year before

The total market production was lower at the monthly level and the annual level in June as well as at the level of the first six months of the year.

Down at the monthly level …

The total market production declined by 0.7% over May. It decreased the most in construction (by 9.0%) and increased in industry (by 4.4%).

… as well as at the annual level

Compared to the previous June, the total market production declined by 1.7%. At this level, it also decreased the most in construction (by 19.0%).

… and at the semi-annual level

Compared to the first half of last year, the total market production declined by 0.9%. This was influenced by the decline in construction (by 7.0%) as well as in industry (by 2.9%).
