At the annual level, fewer building permits issued
Compared to October last year, 21% fewer building permits were issued and their floor area was 26% smaller. 7% fewer dwellings were planned.
Floor area of planned buildings smaller
In October, 21% fewer building permits were issued than in October 2022. For residential buildings 22% fewer building permits were issued and for non-residential buildings 20% fewer. The total floor area of all planned buildings was almost 120,000 m2, which is 26% less than in October 2022. The total floor area of planned residential buildings decreased by 21% and of non-residential buildings by 32%.
Fewer dwellings planned
By issuing building permits, in October construction of 346 dwellings was planned, which is 7% fewer than in October 2022. In one-dwelling buildings 185 (23% fewer) dwellings were planned and in two- and more dwelling buildings 154 (38% more) dwellings were planned. In buildings for public entertainment, education or hospital and institutional care six dwellings were planned and in non-residential buildings one dwelling was planned.
More than half of all dwellings to be built in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region
Most dwellings were planned in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region, 181 or 52% of all. Among them, 111 dwellings were planned in three- and more dwelling buildings, 18 in two-dwelling buildings and the rest in one-dwelling buildings. 38 dwellings (11% of all) were planned in Podravska and 28 (8% of all) in Gorenjska statistical region. In other statistical regions fewer dwellings were planned, the fewest in Zasavska, only one.
