More building permits issued for residential and non-residential buildings
In September, over 50% more building permits were issued than in August and more dwellings were planned. Most dwellings were planned in two- and more dwelling buildings.
The floor area of planned buildings larger
In September, over 50% more building permits were issued than in August. More than a third more building permits were issued for residential buildings and more than three quarters more for non-residential buildings. The total floor area of buildings was a little over 215,000 m2, which is three quarters more than a month ago. The floor area of residential buildings was larger by more than twice and of non-residential buildings by almost a third.
More than half of all dwellings planned in two- and more dwelling buildings
By issuing building permits, in September construction of 630 dwellings was planned, which is twice as many as a month ago. 267 dwellings (42% of all) were planned in one-dwelling buildings, and 363 (58%) in two- and more dwelling buildings. The average size of dwellings in one-dwelling buildings will be 176 m2 and in two- and more dwelling buildings 90 m2.
Almost half of all dwellings to be built in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region
In September, the largest number of dwellings was planned in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region (49% of all dwellings), followed by Podravska (13%), and Goriška (10%). In other statistical regions fewer dwellings were planned, the fewest in the Zasavska statistical region, only two.

METHODOLOGICAL NOTE
In this month, reporting units reported more building permits issued in previous months than usual, which contributed to the deviating data values in this month compared with previous months.
