European Statistics Day
Introducing a new publication: EU Countries Interactively
On this year's European Statistics Day, we are introducing a new interactive publication presenting Eurostat data for all 27 Member States.
We are celebrating European Statistics Day
On the European Statistics Day, which is celebrated every year on 20 October, this year the focus is on the slogan "Statistics for better development in a fast-changing world". This reflects our commitment to providing topical, useful, and universally usable official statistical data that can be used to improve the quality of life in a rapidly changing world. This day is also an opportunity to raise awareness among the general and professional public of the importance of official statistics as a basis for information and decision-making. With a new publication, we want to inform the public that statistics are useful, interesting and accessible to everyone.
EU Countries Interactively
This interactive publication brings data on all 27 EU Member States in selected areas. It provides insights into the population, education and labour market situation, and illustrates various aspects of the quality of life of EU citizens. The data are illustrated in interactive charts and maps, and accompanied by commentary. The source is official data from Eurostat, the European statistical office. The publication aims to show the diversity of the Member States, which ones stand out in a particular area, and where Slovenia ranks among them.
Hovering over the flag icon on the map below will show the data for which the Member State you selected stands out. Unless stated otherwise, the data refer to 2022. More data and the full picture can be found in the publication. You are very welcome to take a look.
