Producer prices of cereals much lower at the annual level
Compared to July 2022, producer prices of agricultural products were on average 7.6% lower. The value of agricultural products was lower by a fifth at the annual level and higher by 6.8% at the monthly level.
Producer prices of crop products at the annual level on average lower
The prices of crop products were on average 16.4% lower than a year ago. Cereal prices went down the most. Lower than a year before were also the prices of industrial plants. On the other hand, potato prices increased on average by 21.3% and fruit prices by 20.9%.
At the annual level, the prices of animals and animal products increased on average by 0.1%. The prices of animals for slaughter went up by 6.6%, with pig prices increasing the most. The prices of animal products decreased on average by 5.3%. The milk price was lower by 7.6%.
The value of purchased agricultural products in the group arable farming at the annual level much lower
Compared to the previous July, the value of purchase in the group arable farming was lower by more than a half. The decrease was caused by much lower value of purchased cereals. The quantity of purchased cereals was lower as well as average prices of the products. Lower was also the value of purchased potato and vegetables, because the quantity of purchased products was lower.
The value of purchased products in the group livestock breeding decreased by 3.2%. The value of purchased milk was lower by 9.6%. The average purchase price was lower as well as the quantity of purchased milk.
The value of purchased products in the group fruit and wine growing increased by 15.5%. The increase was caused by higher value of purchased fruit. Compared to a year ago, a higher quantity of products was purchased, higher were also the prices of fruit. The value of purchased wine was lower by 0.2%.
