Agricultural input prices down for the fifth successive month
Agricultural input prices went down in July on average by 0.3%. At the monthly level, the prices of fertilizers, animal feedingstuffs, and goods and services for maintenance of buildings all went down.

Compared to June, prices decreased on average by 0.3%. The prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture (input 1) went down on average by 0.5%, while the prices of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment (input 2) went slightly up (by 0.1%).
In the first group (input 1), the prices of fertilizers decreased by 5.1%, of animal feedingstuffs by 1.3% and of goods and services for maintenance of buildings by 0.6%.
In the group fertilizers, the prices of PK-fertilizers and of NPK-fertilizers considerably decreased (by 18.4% and by 7.5%, respectively), while in the group animal feedingstuffs only the prices of cereals and milling by-products and of compound feedingstuffs for poultry decreased (by 0.6% and by 2.3%, respectively).
In the second group (input 2), the prices of materials remained the same as in the previous month, while the prices of buildings were higher on average by 0.2%.

Agricultural input prices were 3.0% lower than a year ago. The prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture went down by 6.2%, while the prices of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment went up by 5.1%.
At the annual level, the price decreases were recorded only at fertilizers (by 39.2%) and at energy and lubricants (by 17.1%).
