Natural gas prices for households increased by 2%, electricity prices by 5%

Average natural gas and electricity prices in the first quarter of 2023 were higher for both household and non-household consumers when compared to the fourth quarter of 2022.

Average household consumers paid on average 0.097 EUR/kWh for natural gas

The average natural gas price for household consumers in Slovenia in the first quarter of 2023 increased by 2% compared to the fourth quarter of 2022 and was 0.097 EUR/kWh. During the same period, the average natural gas price without value added tax for non-household consumers increased by 22% to 0.087 EUR/kWh.

Electricity prices for non-households increased by almost a fifth 

The average electricity prices for household consumers in the first quarter of 2023 increased by 5% compared to the fourth quarter of 2022 and was 0.181 EUR/kWh. During the same period, the average electricity price without value added tax for non-household consumers increased by 17% to 0.224 EUR/kWh.

The natural gas and electricity prices in the first quarter of 2023 were partly affected by the measures taken to mitigate the consequences of high energy prices, which temporarily reduced or eliminated certain levies.
