Data published in the release Well-being, 2022 on 14 March 2023 are now available at an extended and a more detailed level in the SiStat Database.

For example, in 2022, 88% of persons living below the at-risk-of-poverty threshold and 94% of persons above it could count on the help of relatives, friends, acquaintances, neighbours.

The average self-assessment of trust in others was 4.5 on a scale from 0 (Do not trust at all) to 10 (Trust completely). According to age groups, self-assessment of trust in others was slightly higher in the age group 45–54 years (4.8), and the lowest among young people (16–24 years old), namely 4.2.

METHODOLOGICAL NOTE
The data from the ad hoc module "Well-being" were collected in the framework of the internationally comparable survey Living Conditions (EU-SILC), with a survey questionnaire in the first half of 2022 and the use of administrative and registers data mostly for 2021.

Additional explanations are available in the methodological explanations.

The survey is co-funded by the European Union. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or Eurostat. Neither the European Union nor the granting authority can be held responsible for them.
