Average net income per capita the highest in municipality Kranjska Gora and the lowest in Kuzma
In 2021, the average annual net income per capita was nominally 7% and in real terms 5% higher than in the previous year. It was higher than the national average in three statistical regions and in 62 municipalities.
Income of the population on average higher than in 2020
Average annual gross income per capita in Slovenia in 2021 was EUR 14,664 and average annual net income per capita EUR 11,202. The former was 7.7% (EUR 1,049) and the latter 6.8% (EUR 709) higher than in the previous year.

The nominal growth of average gross income (7.7%) was the highest since 2015, and the growth of average net income (6.8%) was the second highest (it was higher only in 2019). The real growth of both was about 2 percentage points lower.
A higher share of income from work
The share of income from work in total net received income increased slightly (by 0.8 of a percentage point), while the shares of pensions, parental, family and social benefits and property, capital and other income decreased slightly (by 0.2–0.3 of a percentage point).

Average income per capita the highest in Osrednjeslovenska and the lowest in Pomurska
Average net income per capita by statistical regions in 2021 was the lowest in the Pomurska statistical region (EUR 9,847 or 12% lower than the national average) and the highest in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region (EUR 11,975 or 7% higher than the national average), which was the same as a year earlier. It was higher than the national average in three regions: Osrednjeslovenska, Gorenjska and Jugovzhodna Slovenija.
Compared to 2020, average net income per capita increased in all statistical regions, the least in Pomurska (by 5.5%) and the most in Koroška (by 8.8%).

Average income per capita the highest in Kranjska Gora, the lowest in Kuzma
In 2021, average net income per capita was the highest in municipality Kranjska Gora (EUR 15,346 or 37% higher than the national average) and the lowest in municipality Kuzma (EUR 7,288 or 35% lower than the national average).
It was higher than the national average in 62 municipalities. In most municipalities (205) it went up, while in 7 municipalities (Mirna, Jezersko, Log - Dragomer, Turnišče, Rogašovci, Hodoš, Vodice) it went down over the previous year.

Average net income per capita was the highest in municipality Kranjska Gora, followed by Trzin, Mežica, Log - Dragomer, Ankaran, Grosuplje, Bled, Škofljica, Šmarješke Toplice and Žirovnica, and the lowest in municipality Kuzma, followed by Rogašovci, Hodoš, Grad, Apače, Cankova, Solčava, Gornji Petrovci, Razkrižje and Sveti Jurij ob Ščavnici.
