Average earnings lower than earnings for January
Average gross earnings for February 2023 amounted to EUR 2,132.58. They were lower than earnings for January 2023 (in nominal terms by 0.6% and in real terms by 1.3%) and higher than earnings for February 2022 (in nominal terms by 10.7% and in real terms by 1.3%).

Average gross earnings for February 2023 amounted to EUR 2,132.58. Compared to earnings for January, they were lower in nominal terms by 0.6% and in real terms by 1.3%. Average net earnings amounted to EUR 1,391.65. Compared to earnings for January, they were lower in nominal terms by 0.5% and in real terms by 1.2%.
Compared to earnings for February of the previous year, they were higher: in nominal terms gross earnings by 10.7% (in real terms by 1.3%) and net earnings by 12.2% (in real terms by 2.7%).
Earnings slightly higher only in the private sector
Compared to earnings for January, average gross earnings were higher in the private sector (by 0.6%) and lower in the public sector (by 2.8%). In the institutional sector general government, which is a part of the public sector, they were lower by 2.5%.
Higher than the national average only in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region
Average gross earnings were the highest in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region (at EUR 2,397.82 they were 12.4% higher than the national average) and the lowest in the Primorsko-notranjska statistical region (at EUR 1,842.68 they were 13.6% lower than the national average).
The highest in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, followed by financial and insurance activities
Average gross earnings were the highest in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (EUR 2,860.13), followed by earnings in financial and insurance activities (EUR 2,859.11). They were the lowest in accommodation and food service activities (EUR 1,542.82).
