METHODOLOGICAL NOTE
On 14 October 2022, temporary protection status for Ukrainians fleeing the war was extended until 4 March 2024. This extension meant that persons with temporary protection status and registered residence in Slovenia met the 12-month minimum intended stay criterion to be included in the usually resident population. Almost 6,000 Ukrainian citizens meeting this condition were included in the population count as of 1 January 2023.
