Retail trade turnover down
Volume turnover in retail trade in February 2023 was lower both at the monthly and annual level. In trade and repair of motor vehicles, it was lower in the monthly and higher in the annual comparison.
Down at the monthly and annual level
Volume turnover in retail trade declined by 10.5% at the monthly level, mostly due to 27.2% lower turnover in retail trade with automotive fuel. In retail trade without automotive fuel it declined by 1.4%. In retail trade with food products it declined by 1.2% and in retail trade with non-food products by 0.9%.
At the annual level, volume turnover declined by 4.0%. In retail trade with food products it went down by 5.0%, in retail trade with automotive fuel by 3.5% and in retail trade with non-food products by 3.3%.
In first two months of 2023, turnover grew by 6.8% compared to the same period of the previous year. In retail trade with automotive fuel it went up by 22.0%, while in retail trade with non-food products and in retail trade with food products it went down by 0.5% and 4.8%, respectively.

Volume turnover from trade and repair of motor vehicles declined by 1.6% at the monthly level and increased by 7.8% at the annual. In the first two months of the year, it increased over the same period of the previous year, namely by 10.4%.
