Less traffic in Slovenian ports
Around 9,100 road motor vehicles were registered in Slovenia for the first time in January. The number of goods vehicles that entered or exited Slovenia via road border crossings was 3% smaller than a year ago. 234 ships arrived in or departed from Slovenian ports, which was 5% fewer.
More passengers in public scheduled transport
Buses in urban public scheduled transport carried more than 3.9 million passengers, which was 36% more than a year ago. Buses in intercity and international public scheduled transport carried 2.4 million passengers, which was 40% more than in the previous January. They performed 45 million passenger kilometers, which was 36% more.
A tenth more passenger cars registered for the first time
Around 9,100 road motor vehicles were registered in Slovenia for the first time in January, or 8% more than the year before. Of these, almost 7,200 passenger cars were registered for the first time, or 10% more. Of these, 4,400 were new ones, which was about 3% more on an annual basis.
At road border crossings fewer goods vehicles
4.7 million passenger vehicles entered or exited Slovenia through road border crossings, which was 34% more than in the previous January. More than 1 million goods vehicles crossed the border, which is 3% fewer than the year before.
Almost a fifth more passengers in rail transport
Trains carried 1.3 million passengers, which was 18% more. They performed 66 million passenger kilometers, which was 31% more than last January.
At the airport about half more passengers
About 58,000 passengers departed from or arrived at Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, which was 55% more than in January of the previous year. 900 tons of goods were handled, which was 6% less.

Data on road public scheduled transport for the last 12 months are provisional. With each release the data for this period can be corrected and supplemented with new data. They become final with an annual release.
Data on port traffic published by SURS may differ from the data published by ports in their reports. The differences are due to the use of different methodologies (different data sources, tare consideration, etc.).
