METHODOLOGICAL NOTE
In January 2023, we made some methodological changes to import price indices. Similar to previous years, we changed the weights; these are based on value data from customs declarations (Extrastat) and from statistical forms (Intrastat), which are included in external trade statistics for 2021 and are converted into prices from December 2022. At the same time, we revised the list of products whose prices we monitor and the list of companies that report prices. The sample of reporting units includes 629 companies that report prices for 3,259 products per month.
