Sentiment indicator slightly better
The sentiment indicator improved slightly compared to the previous month and slightly worsened compared to last September.
Higher at the monthly level …
The sentiment indicator rose slightly. This time, the value of the indicator reached −5.4 percentage points (p.p.) and was 0.6 p.p. higher than the month before (−6.0 p.p.).
The increase was influenced by the confidence indicator in services (by 0.3 p.p.) and the indicators in construction and among consumers (each by 0.2 p.p.). On the other hand, the change in value was negatively influenced by the retail trade confidence indicator (by 0.2 p.p.). The indicator in manufacturing had no impact.
… but slightly lower at the annual level
Compared to last September, the value of the indicator was 0.4 p.p. lower.
The decrease was influenced by confidence indicators in manufacturing (by 1.2 p.p.) and in services (by 0.6 p.p.). Only the consumer confidence indicator had a positive impact (by 1.4 p.p.), while the retail trade and construction confidence indicators had no impact.
