The sentiment indicator slightly down
The economic sentiment has been slowly deteriorating since December; this time it fell by 0.2 of a percentage point at the monthly level.
Down for the fifth consecutive month
The value of the sentiment indicator was at −2.9 percentage points (p.p.), 0.2 p.p. lower than in the previous month (at −2.7 p.p.).
Confidence indicators in retail trade (by 0.2 p.p.), and in manufacturing and construction (each by 0.1 p.p.) had a negative impact. The change was positively influenced by indicators among consumers and in services (by 0.2 and 0.1 p.p., respectively).
Deterioration also at the annual level
At the annual level, the value of the economic sentiment indicator was lower by 5.5 p.p.
The decrease was influenced by the lower values of four out of five indicators: the most in manufacturing (by 4.4 p.p.) and less in retail trade (by 0.7 p.p.), construction (by 0.6 p.p.), and services (by 0.2 p.p.). Only the confidence indicator among consumers had a slightly positive impact (by 0.3 p.p.).
