Consumer confidence slightly up
In November, the value of the consumer confidence indicator was higher both at the monthly and at the annual level.
At the monthly level slightly up
The value of the consumer confidence indicator increased by 1 percentage point (p.p.) compared to the previous month, but was 10 p.p. below the long-term average.
Among its components, consumers’ expectations for major purchases and about the country’s economy increased (by 4 and 2 p.p., respectively). The indicator expectations about households’ finances deteriorated (by 2 p.p.), while consumer opinion on current households’ finances remained at the level of the previous month.
Improvement also at the annual level
The value of the consumer confidence indicator was 5 p.p. higher than in November 2022.
All four components of the consumer confidence indicator improved at the annual level: expectations about households’ finances by 8 p.p., expectations for major purchases by 7 p.p., expectations about the country’s economy by 4 p.p., and opinion on current households’ finances by 1 p.p.

The data are based on the Consumer Survey, which was answered by 845 persons between 1 and 15 November 2023.
